1-2 week summer placement aimed mainly at years 9-10. There is also an apprenticeship programme aimed at graduates wishing to become planners. Attend site visits, applicant meetings, design reviews, design workshops, and youth engagement workshops, and more.

You will experience Planning, Transport Planning and Heritage Planning, while working on a range of private sector development planning projects across Cambridge and the East of England. Opportunity to gain experience using a Geographic Information System (GIS).

A day’s work experience in a property company learning about the role of the Chartered Surveyor, Renewable Energy Surveyor and Chartered Town Planner. Activities include: attending team meetings with the Site Acquisition, Renewable Energy or Planning Teams; visit to potential development sites; assisting with the analysis of possible development constraints and opportunities.
