Careers Event Launch

We are excited to announce the launch of the very first CDF Built Environment Careers Event:

‘BUILD THE FUTURE: All you need to know about a career in the built environment’!

Created in partnership with the Royal Geographical Society, the event will take place on November 1st 2023 at The Leys School, Cambridge.

This event will showcase the fantastic variety of opportunities provided by a geography degree and a career in the built environment. Leading young planners and developers will be joining from across the region to inform students, parents, teachers, careers advisors on all there is to know about this exciting and innovative sector. Aimed principally at Years 10-13, but open to all, the event will include:

o Talks on cutting-edge planning projects;

o A panel of graduate planners;

o An expo featuring leading built environment professionals and local authorities;

o Interactive activities allowing students to learn for themselves how planning works;

o An opportunity to talk to recently qualified Planners about their academic and professional journey, and get personalised advice on how to enter the sector;

o The opportunity to network and gain work experience.
