Cambridgeshire Development Forum (CDF) Responds to the Mini Budget

The Chair, Lord Andrew Lansley, said following CDF meeting this morning:

“CDF welcome three key announcements from today’s mini budget and the Government’s focus on growth.

  1. Investment Zones should be focused on areas where internationally - mobile investment can be attracted, like Cambridgeshire.

  2. The support for first time buyers is important to offset rising mortgage rates and housing supply will respond positively.

  3. And the Government should now introduce a new Planning Bill which focuses on deregulation, speeding up planning processes, integrating and accelerating infrastructure and spatial planning, and rewarding ambitious local planning authorities who meet housing demand in their areas and ensure democratic backing for local growth.”
