23 June - CDF at the Cambridgeshire County Day

At the Cambridgeshire County Day, the Cambridgeshire Development Forum (CDF) exhibition stand was a hive of activity, as the secretariat team and CDF members welcomed visitors, and discussed key development issues in our region.

The day offered a networking opportunity for the CDF members, both with each other & prospective new members, and also with visitors from the local neighbourhood who were keen to engage with them on their upcoming plans.

Along with students from several school from across the region, the CDF was particularly pleased to welcome previous speakers Anthony Browne, MP for South Cambridgeshire, who judged our Lego construction competition, and Dr Nik Johnson, Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, who warmly chatted with our members about their updates.

The construction of our CDF Lego Village was a particular highlight for the students visiting our stand and showcased their creativity, with designs including a replica of the Big Ben clock tower, a Pig Café, a sustainable golf club, and even an ambulance (courtesy of St. John Ambulance). During the construction, CDF members were able to discuss career opportunities with the students, outlining the range of roles which are on offer within the housing development and construction sectors.
